Lanvin for H&M Womenswear Revealed

The Lanvin for H&M womenswear collaboration has finally been revealed, and it is just as impressive as the menswear line. The pieces definitely mirror some of Lanvin's previous main line collections - think f/w 2010 jackets and coats - so you know it's good! Below is a selection of the best pieces, see here to view the full line. The collection is available online at hm.com from 23 November.

Lanvin for H&M Menswear Hits Earth

The long-awaited Lanvin/H&M collaboration has finally arrived. The menswear range exceeds my highest expectations, and with all 40 pieces priced from £14.99 (AUD $24) to £149.99 (AUD $240), I'm even more impressed. The oversized bowties are quite obviously modelled off Lanvin head designer Alber Elbaz's own style, but the metallic shoes are definitely the stand out. I'm a slave for a good trench coat, and Lanvin's latest is certainly no exception. The collection is available from 23 November at hm.com - FIY, that's the same day I officially begin hating Australia for not having H&M!

China International Fashion Week

Umbrella cocktail dress by Liu Lili.

China pulled out all the stops for the International Fashion Week held in Beijing last week. I don't know what to think of the umbrella dress above by a designer called Liu Lili - but it sure has a bit of edge to it - I can definitely see it worn in the streets of Harajuku. There was also a leather design competition held during fashion week, and China churned out some pretty amazing pieces there too. More pics below.

Long Live the Queen!

Kylie performing in Emilio Pucci dress and Louboutin heels.

I don't know that Pop Princess Kylie Minogue has officially graduated to Queen yet (hurry up and die, Madonna - totally kidding), but her latest bout of promotion for new album Aphrodite has sure got her flirting with the top spot in my book!

The fashionable Miss Minogue donned an Emilio Pucci s/s 2011 dress and those amazing Louboutin spiked heels to a charity performance in front of the pyramids in Egypt last week. Kylie performed in Mexico a few days later in an Anna Dello Russo-esque (that is; feathers and super short) Mark Fast s/s 2011 minidress.

Here are a few of the many performances Kylie has put on in the last few days. I love the Get Outta My Way routine on US Dancing with the Stars and the In My Arms performance in Mexico is so fun.

Orgy of Shoes!

This post is really just an excuse to show some sexy shoe pics, but I thought I'd talk a little on summer/winter shoes since it's coming into summer now in Australia, while the fashion world is still in its Autumn/Winter season.

I really love the thigh-high boot as a winter shoe. This one is Burberry Prorsum (but of course!). They may look a little skankalicious just on their own, but I think they look super glamorous when you wear them with a trench coat or long jacket, in the style of the Burberry catwalk below.

Another trend that I don't really understand is the shearling obsession. It may just be because I live in tropical-climate Australia where we basically don't even have a winter season, but I do see the practicality of shearling I suppose. What I do love for winter is the mountain-style heel. Above is Burberry Prorsum combining the shearling and mountain styles and below is a pic of the incredibly cool Alaia shoes, posted at Sea of Shoes.

Coming into the s/s season, I still really love the wedge as a summer shoe. I'm pretty sure this is stemmed from my obsession with the show Weeds, and the teeny shorts and high wedges of Mary Louise Parker's character. The wedges above don't really give that summer feel, but hey, they're John Galliano and they're sexy!

The studded pumps above are Christian Louboutin - Kylie Minogue wears the gold version in her video Get Outta My Way.

I really love the shape of both the heel and the toe of all of these blue YSL beauties.

Noritaka Tatehana has a Swarovski crystal version of his Night Makers available on his online boutique and they are amazing! Could you imagine walking around in these babies? Lady Gaga eat your heart out!

I discovered these Dsquared2 skeleton-heeled shoes ages ago, but I'm so lazy I didn't bother uploading a pic. I think they are so edgy

It's Made of Chains, Darling!

Behind the scenes on Kylie Minogue's Get Outta My Way video. Check out that corset chain dress by the Blonds in New York! Damn girl!

Paris Fashion Week: The Anna Dello Russo Collection

I have been a little slack following the shows at Paris these last few days, but I made sure I kept up with the most important looks of the week - Anna Dello Russo's PFW outfits!

Anna wears Roksanda Ilincic and, right, the outfit on the catwalk.

Anna wears Francesco Scognamiglio and Philip Treacy headwear at the Commes Des Garcons show. Right, the Scognamiglio outfit on the runway.

Anna wears Worth Couture.

Anna wears Alaia.

Anna wears Mary Katrantzou on the last day of PFW.

And for the grand fucking finale (needed to add drama), Anna outdoes herself in a Lady Gaga-inspired Pucci gown custom designed for the Vogue Paris Masquerade event, and that Gareth Pugh headpiece. As much as I love Gaga, I have to admit that Anna outshines her in the fashion stakes because, no matter how extravagant or avante-garde her outfits are, ADR never loses the glamour.

Tommy Ton took the pics for Anna, and there's an awesome story on his blog about 'getting dressed with ADR'. Read it, ok?

Burberry Prorsum Womenswear Spring Summer 2011

So, this is pretty much the best womenswear collection I've ever seen. I do overdo it on the drama always sometimes, but seriously I absolutely adore what Christopher Bailey has done this season.

The colour of the collection is nude-based - reaffirming the no-black policy of the spring/summer season - with super-chic splashes of neon. Oh, and there are enough studs and metallics to pick up a radio signal.

I won't talk any more on this collection because I'll go on for hours and it's almost 4am in Australia. I will say that I honestly feel like crying when I see this collection (again with the dramatics, I know!), it's just so beautiful. Below are a few of my favourite looks, full collection is here.

Colour Blocking is Back

Jil Sander SS 2011

Quick! Go run through a fluoro paint ball battle field, because colour blocking is 'in' again!

Colour is a recurring theme througout the Spring Summer 2011 collections. Jil Sander is a colour-blocking extravaganza this season and Versus by Christopher Kane breaks out the bright, clashing colours too. Bright colours continue on through D&G's floral-themed collection as well as Prada's SS 2011 offerings and the Moschino Cheap & Chic Presentation. Even Burberry featured flashes of neon.

Here are some tips from British Vogue on colour blocking... From 2009! It may be several seasons ago now, but judging by the sea of clashing colours we're seeing, it's still relevent.

Complimentary Colours
•Team colours from the same family together for a harmonious look - think bright pinks with vivid fuchsias, turquoise with royal blue
•Keep warmer tones like orange and red together
•Go for a neutral-toned shoe to keep it simple

Mixing it Up
•Work regal purples in with contrasting, fiery oranges
•Try lime green with melon or rosebud pink for a pleasantly jarring combination
•Go to town on the look with a loud, contrasting shoe or handbag

Versus SS 2011

Here's a video BryanBoy took of the Jil Sander show:

Anna Dello Russo's Fashion Month Looks

Fashion week is all about the clothes, right? Maybe not always the clothes draping from the models though... I could watch an entire collection of just Anna Dello Russo's looks! So, here are a few the style icon's fashion show outfits from the various fashion weeks across the globe.

I especially love the lime Pucci outfit, the Balenciaga dress and I'm always a little fond of Worth Couture. FYI, my girl Kylie Minogue also made an appearance at Pucci and stole the show in a stunning gold Pucci mini dress.
