How NOT to look like a tramp in a mullet dress

It's summer in Australia and the flowy mullet dress epidemic is in full force at the moment. Preen is a perfect model to follow to get it right! Notice the layering, use of accessories and the length of sleeves and high necklines.

Alexander McQueen and the White Snake

Daphne Guinness stars in the upcoming short film dedication to Alexander McQueen. The story is based on the ancient Chinese legend of the White Snake.

Colour-popping satchels

POC or 'pops of colour' is fast becoming one of those annoying over-used fashion terms. At the risk of encouraging the POC pandemic, I will admit that bright colours can be amazing with summer outfits. Although we've had a crazily wet and dull summer so far in Australia, here is a little bit of colour to brighten up your day! I found these pretty cool satchels from the Cambridge Satchel Company on one of my many rounds into the dark reaches of the trashiest places on the Internet. I don't know how well known they are, but these bags are pretty bangin'.

Cate Blanchett, style icon

You could pick just about any one of Cate Blanchett's red carpet looks and it would be close to perfect. The Australian actor has amazing style and obviously loves fashion. I'm pretty sure she's a bit of a fan of Alexander McQueen too - luckily there's no such thing as too much McQueen!

Cate Blanchett wore Alexander McQueen spring 2012 to the AACTA awards this week.
